Whonix is an operating system focused on anonymity, privacy and security. It is based on the Tor anonymity network, Debian GNU/Linux and security by isolation. Whonix consists of two parts: One solely runs Tor and acts as a gateway, which is called Whonix-Gateway. The other, which is called Whonix-Workstation, is on a completely isolated network. Only connections through Tor are possible. With Whonix, you can use applications and run servers anonymously over the Internet. DNS leaks are impossible, and even malware with root privileges cannot find out the user's real IP.

Trace Labs OSINT VM is a Debian-based Linux distribution with specialist open-source intelligence (OSINT) tools to help find missing persons and reunite them with their families. It is provided as a set of pre-built images for VMware and Virtual Box virtual machines. The OSINT tools, which need to be downloaded separately via a helper script, include Email Search (to perform email searches via social media, breach info, and other sources), Multi Search (to perform searches over multiple sources, such as social media, domains, IPs, phone numbers), Username Search (to check username availability across multiple platforms), Social Media (to gather OSINT from popular social media platforms). stillOS is an immutable Linux distribution based on AlmaLinux and featuring a customised GNOME desktop. It includes atomic updates and support for Flatpak packages. It also comes with a number of custom applications, such as stillControl (a tool for configuring desktop layouts), stillCenter (a software center with a curated store), stillTerminal (a custom terminal emulator that integrates with DistroBox containers and remote SSH instances), and Quick Setup (a first-boot tool to allow selection and installation of preferred applications). The project's goal is to provide a consumer-ready desktop Linux distribution that is user-friendly, stable, consistent and predictable.

butrelinux is an immutable Linux distribution derived from the CentOS-based edition of Bluefin. It features the KDE Plasma desktop. The distribution uses the Anaconda system installer for hard disk installation, includes drivers for NVIDIA graphics cards, and provides out-of-the-box support for Distrobox containers and Flatpak packages.

Clonezilla Live is a Debian-based live CD containing Clonezilla, a partition and disk cloning software similar to Norton Ghost. It saves and restores only used blocks in hard drive. With Clonezilla, one can clone a 5 GB system to 40 clients in about 10 minutes.

Neko-Void is a Void-based rolling-release distribution featuring a preconfigured MATE desktop environment with carefully selected software. It is designed for users who want Void Linux's stability and minimalism with modern desktop functionality. The distribution ships with a custom system installer called Kasha Installer, and is available in two separate editions, with either X.Org or Xlibre display servers.

Omarchy is an Arch-based Linux distribution featuring the Hyprland tiling window manager. It ships with what a modern software developer would need to be productive immediately, including Neovim, Spotify, Chromium, Typora, Alacritty, LibreOffice and Zoom. The distribution boots into a text-mode system installer that downloads the latest packages from the Arch Linux repositories during installation to build a complete Hyprland desktop.

CentOS as a group is a community of open source contributors and users which started in 2003 and has been sponsored by Red Hat since 2014. CentOS Linux versions up to CentOS Linux 8 are 100% compatible rebuilds of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, in full compliance with Red Hat's redistribution requirements. In 2020 it was announced CentOS Linux is being discontinued and replaced with CentOS Stream, a developer-focused distribution which acts as a middle-stream between Fedora and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Oreon is a desktop-oriented live Linux distribution based on AlmaLinux, attempting to combine the stability and security of an enterprise Linux distribution with user-friendly features for desktop and laptop users. Its main features include GNOME desktop with a custom Oreon theme, ten years of support, and access to thousands of packages from AlmaLinux and Oreon-specific repositories.

Flora Linux-libre is a Linux distribution that uses the Linux-libre kernel, a modified version of the Linux kernel that contains no binary blobs, obfuscated code, or code released under proprietary licenses. It also excludes any non-free firmware. The project rebuilds Debian's "Stable" and some other Debian derivatives, such as MX Linux, and creates a "libre" flavour of those distributions with either MATE or Xfce desktop. Flora Linux-libre also comes with snapshot tools and installers that enable easy remastering of the distribution, as well as uim (short for universal input method), a multilingual input method framework.

LazyLinux is a Void-based desktop Linux distribution with Xfce as the preferred desktop and a vast collection of pre-installed software. It intends to be user-friendly and usable right after installation. The distribution ships with many popular productivity and multimedia applications, such as Brave browser, Thunderbird email client, LibreOffice office suite, GIMP image manipulation program, Inkscape vector graphics editor, VLC media player and many others. LazyLinux also provides out-of-the-box support for Flatpak packages.

nakeDeb is a minimalist desktop Linux distribution based on Debian's "Stable" branch and designed for more advanced Linux users. By default it uses the Fluxbox window manager, although an alternative session with i3 is also available. The distribution provides a simple text-mode system installer and custom repositories with extra software, including various utilities and themes. It comes with the w3m web browser and a script to download and install the latest Tor Browser, and it also includes the PCManFM file manager and mpv media player. makeDeb offers support for French and English languages.

Debian Edu/Skolelinux is the Debian-edu's Debian Pure Blend distribution. It is aiming to provide an out-of-the-box localised environment tailored for schools and universities. The out-of-the-box environment comes with 75 applications aimed at schools, as well as 17 network services pre-configured for a school environment. The simple, three-question installation requires minimal technical knowledge. Skolelinux is Debian, which means, among other things, that there are no license costs or worries, and that upgrade and maintenance of the software can be done over the Internet with the power of Debian's apt-get. The core goals of Skolelinux are localisation and ease of system administration.

At the top of the tower is Debian -- carefully organizing and fitting everything so it all works together.

Lilidog is a lightweight desktop Linux distribution based on Debian "Stable" and featuring a customised Openbox window manager. It incorporates the tint2 desktop panel, the Thunar file manager and the xfce4-terminal terminal emulator. Other window managers, including Awesome, dwm, i3, JWM and sowm, are also available for installation. Besides the standard Lilidog, the project provides two other editions of the distribution - the "Beardog" variant which starts without a display manager on login, and the "Waydog" flavour which uses the Wayland display server and offers a choice between the labwc and Sway Wayland compositors.

LinuxCNC is a Debian-based Linux distribution designed to control computer numerical control (CNC) machines. It can drive milling machines, lathe machines, 3D printers, laser cutters, plasma cutters, robot arms, hexapods and more. It is compatible with many popular machine control hardware interfaces and it supports rigid tapping, cutter compensation, and many other advanced control features. LinuxCNC boots into an Xfce desktop with a custom CNC menu containing CNC software, wizards and documentation.

Manjaro Linux is a fast, user-friendly, desktop-oriented operating system based on Arch Linux. Key features include intuitive installation process, automatic hardware detection, stable rolling-release model, ability to install multiple kernels, special Bash scripts for managing graphics drivers and extensive desktop configurability. Manjaro Linux offers Xfce as the core desktop options, as well as KDE, GNOME and a minimalist Net edition for more advanced users. Community-supported desktop flavours are also available.

Founded in 2014 by Oliver Pinter and Shawn Webb, HardenedBSD is a security-enhanced fork of FreeBSD. The HardenedBSD Project is implementing many exploit mitigation and security technologies on top of FreeBSD. The project started with Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR) as an initial focal point and is now implementing further exploit mitigation techniques.
