TobbeOS is a minimalist, Arch-based Linux distribution featuring the Qtile tiling window manager. It provides a network installation image with a simple script that guides the user through the installation process; it downloads and installs the latest packages from Arch Linux repositories. The script offers a choice between the Btrfs and ext4 filesystem. TobbeOS also provides a pre-configured Emacs editor, while the default web browser is a privacy-focused Firefox fork called Zen Browser.

FydeOS, developed by Fyde Innovations, is a lightweight operating system that carries a Linux kernel, a browser platform and a container technology driver. It is very similar to Google ChromeOS in use. FydeOS supports the latest web application standards, and is able to run Android and Linux applications (by activating the included Android and Debian subsystems), providing a Google Chromebook-like experience. Users have a choice to use cloud services provided by Google, services powered by Fyde Innovations, or a local account. ShredOS is a small live Linux distribution whose sole purpose is to securely erase the contents of disks. It can boot from a USB device, CD or DVD and it supports both BIOS and UEFI booting. The system boots directly into nwipe, a program that securely erases the contents of block devices; it can wipe a single drive or multiple disks in parallel. After booting the system, the user can select a disk to erase, together with one of the various erasure methods, such as "Fill With Zeros", "Fill With Ones", RCMP TSSIT OPS-II, DoD, Gutmann Wipe, PRNG Stream, Schneier Wipe, BMB21-2019 and others. The nwipe program automatically starts its ncurses-based interface in the first virtual terminal (ALT-F1), while other useful tools, such as hdparm, smartmontools and hexeditor can be run in the second virtual terminal (ALT-F2). ShredOS is available in "Standard" and "Lite" editions, with the latter able to run on computers with as little as 512 MB of RAM.

Porteus is a fast, portable and modular live CD/USB medium based on Slackware Linux. The distribution started as a community remix of Slax, another Slackware-based live CD, with KDE 3 as the default desktop for the i486 edition and a stripped-down KDE 4 as the desktop environment for the x86_64 flavour. There are now several desktop flavours of the distribution, which include editions running Cinnamon, GNOME, KDE Plasma, LXQt, MATE, and Xfce.
