Updated Linux Distributions

KDE neon is a Ubuntu-based Linux distribution and live DVD featuring the latest KDE Plasma desktop and other KDE community software. Besides the installable DVD image, the project provides a rapidly-evolving software repository with all the latest KDE software. Two editions of the product are available - a "User" edition, designed for those interested in checking out the latest KDE software as it gets released, and a "Developer's" edition, created as a platform for testing cutting-edge KDE applications.

pearOS is an Arch-based desktop Linux distribution which features a macOS-like theme and icons on top of the KDE Plasma desktop. Some of the distribution's features include a custom system installer called pearOS Installer, a pearOS welcome application, and the GNOME Files file manager. pearOS comes with various popular desktop, web and multimedia applications, such as the Gwenview image viewer, Firefox web browser, Elisa music player and Kate text editor.

EndeavourOS is a rolling-release Linux distribution based on Arch Linux. The project aims to be a spiritual successor to Antergos, providing an easy setup and a pre-configured desktop environment on an Arch base. EndeavourOS offers both off-line and on-line install options. The off-line installer, Calamares, uses the KDE Plasma desktop by default. The on-line installer can install optional software components, including most popular desktop environments.

Volumio (formerly RaspyFi) is a Debian-based Linux distribution designed and fine-tuned exclusively for music playback. It runs on a variety of devices, typically small and cheap computers like the Raspberry Pi, but also on low-power personal computers, notebooks or thin clients. It aims to fully integrate Music Player Daemon, an open-source music player server, into the current Debian releases and to optimise it for Audiophile-quality music playback. Volumio also makes it simple to play music library directly from a USB storage device or from any network-attached storage and it also enables users to listen to web-based radio stations from Spotify, Last.fm and SoundCloud.

Voyager Live is an Xubuntu-based distribution and live DVD showcasing the Xfce desktop environment. Its features include the Avant Window Navigator or AWN (a dock-like navigation bar), Conky (a program which displays useful information on the desktop), and over 300 photographs and animations that can be used as desktop backgrounds. The project also develops several other editions of Voyager Live - a "GE" edition with GNOME Shell, a "GS" variant for Gamers, and a separately-maintained flavour based on Debian's "stable" branch.

AOSC OS an independently maintained Linux distribution based on the Linux kernel and various software components, using a custom package manager called oma which works with Deb packages for package management. AOSC OS is targeted at experienced Linux users and optimised for use on personal devices. It aims to provide a solid out-of-the-box experience, simplified system administration and a reliable work environment.

LinuxHub Prime is an Arch-based Linux distribution with a customised Openbox window manager as the default desktop environment. Its main feature is a unique installer that provides one-click installation options for several popular window managers and desktop environments, including Awesome, bspwm, Budgie, Cinnamon, Deepin, GNOME, Hyprland, KDE Plasma, MATE, Qtile and Xfce. The installer also includes "Prime Builder", a tool for creating a custom respin of the distribution.

Shanios is an immutable desktop Linux distribution based on Arch Linux. It provides optimised builds of the GNOME and KDE Plasma desktop environments. Like most immutable Linux systems, Shanios features rollbacks for instant system recovery, atomic updates through a custom deployment tool called shani-deploy, and Flatpak integration. The distribution's other main features include a blue-green deployment strategy using Btrfs subvolumes, preservation of system integrity with a read-only root partition, and enhanced security through AppArmor profiles, firewalld configurations, and full-disk encryption.

Plop Linux is a small distribution that can boot from CD, DVD, USB flash drive (UFD), USB hard disk or from network with PXE. It is designed to rescue data from a damaged system, backup and restore operating systems, automate tasks and more.

Univention Corporate Server is an enterprise-class distribution based on Debian. It features an integrated management system for central administration of servers, Microsoft Active Directory-compatible domain services, and functions for parallel operation of virtualised server and desktop operating systems. UCS offers such features as a single sign-on portal and an app centre. One key component of UCS is the Identity and Access Management (IAM) utility which acts as a central solution for managing identities, roles, and groups. The integrated portal with Single Sign-On and self-service functions provides access to all IT services and applications and can work across blended Linux, Windows, and macOS networks.

Fedora Linux (formerly Fedora, formerly Fedora Core) is a Linux distribution developed by the community-supported Fedora Project and owned by Red Hat. Fedora Linux contains software distributed under a free and open-source license and aims to be on the leading edge of such technologies. Fedora has a reputation for focusing on innovation, integrating new technologies early on and working closely with upstream Linux communities. The default desktop in Fedora Linux is the GNOME desktop environment and the default interface is the GNOME Shell. Other desktop environments, including KDE, Xfce, LXDE, MATE and Cinnamon, are available. The Fedora project also distributes custom variations of Fedora called Fedora spins. These are built with specific sets of software packages, offering alternative desktop environments or targeting specific interests such as gaming, security, design, scientific computing and robotics.

Eliza Linux is a desktop Linux distribution based on Debian's "Stable" branch and featuring the Enlightenment desktop. It prioritises a minimal, carefully selected set of applications while remaining fully functional and customisable. Some of the software in the default state of Eliza Linux include the Firefox ESR web browser, LibreOffice office suite, VLC media player, GIMP image editor, and JuK audio player.

CentOS as a group is a community of open source contributors and users which started in 2003 and has been sponsored by Red Hat since 2014. CentOS Linux versions up to CentOS Linux 8 are 100% compatible rebuilds of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, in full compliance with Red Hat's redistribution requirements. In 2020 it was announced CentOS Linux is being discontinued and replaced with CentOS Stream, a developer-focused distribution which acts as a middle-stream between Fedora and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Zentyal Server (formerly eBox Platform) is a unified network server that offers easy and efficient computer network administration for small and medium-size businesses. It can act as a gateway, an infrastructure manager, a unified threat manager, an office server, a unified communication server or a combination of them. These functionalities are tightly integrated, automating most tasks, avoiding mistakes and saving time for system administrators. Zentyal Server is available in free (Development) and commercial editions. Zentyal is released under the GNU General Public License (GPL) and runs on top of Ubuntu.

Flatcar Container Linux is a container-optimized operating system based on Gentoo Linux. It is a minimal operating system image which includes only the tools needed to run containers and it supports all of the popular methods for running containers. The distribution ships an immutable filesystem and includes automatic atomic updates. Flatcar Container Linux runs on most cloud providers, virtualization platforms and bare metal servers.

Talos is a specialist Linux-based operating system for running Kubernetes, an open-source system for automating deployment, scaling and management of containerised applications. Minimal, immutable and hardened, it does not offer any shell or interactive console; instead, all system management is done via remote Application Programming Interface (API) calls, where messages sent from a client application are protected with mutual Transport Layer Security TLS (mTLS) authentication. Talos also delivers atomic updates, thus maintaining the Linux and Kubernetes versions up-to-date. Talos is developed in the USA by Sidero Labs, Inc.

extrox is a set of Linux distributions based either on MX Linux or Arch Linux, featuring custom art and theme, careful application selection, various user-friendly improvements, and an audio filter (developed in-house) for enhanced sound quality in music playback and streaming. The distribution uses the Xfce desktop with the Compiz compositing window manager.

All in One - System Rescue Toolkit (AiO-SRT) is a live desktop distribution designed to rescue systems, recover files and reset Windows passwords. AiO-SRT is based on Lubuntu and ships with several rescue utilities for use by repair technicians and system administrations.

GNU/Linux KDu is a Brazilian desktop Linux distribution based on Ubuntu and KDE neon. It features a customised KDE Plasma desktop and a large collection of software applications for daily and technical use, including office and productivity suites, various maintenance, data recovery and hardware diagnostic utilities, as well as tools for remote access and virtualisation. The distribution is localised into Brazilian Portuguese, inclusive of Brazilian data formats, and is suitable for both new and advanced Linux users.

CachyOS is a Linux distribution based on Arch Linux. It focuses on speed and security optimisations - the default Linux kernel is heavily optimised using the BORE (Burst-Oriented Response Enhancer) scheduler, while the desktop packages are compiled with LTO, x86-64-v3 and x86-64-v4, Zen 4 optimization, security flags and performance improvements. The available desktop environments, window managers and Wayland compositors include bspwm, Budgie, Cinnamon, COSMIC, GNOME, Hyprland, i3, KDE Plasma, LXDE, LXQt, MATE, Niri, Openbox, Qtile, Sway, UKUI, Wayfire and Xfce. CachyOS also ships with both graphical and command-line system installers.
