Canaima GNU/Linux is a Venezuelan desktop distribution based on Debian GNU/Linux. It is primarily designed as a solution for the computers of National Public Administration in accordance with the presidential decree number 3.390 about the use of free technologies in National Public Administration in the country.

Lightwhale is an independently-developed, minimalist, single-purpose Linux distribution designed to run Docker containers effortlessly. The live ISO image boots directly into a fully functional Docker engine without the need for installation or configuration. The distribution's core system is immutable, while data and customisations are stored entirely separated on a dedicated device. Lightwhale is primarily designed to be deployed on home labs, bare metal computers, virtualised environments, edge nodes or clusters.

Maple Linux is a desktop Linux distribution based on Debian's "Stable" branch and featuring the Cinnamon desktop. It is designed primarily for users located in Canada, with specific Canadian defaults. The distribution ships with both English and Canadian French locales pre-configured and it uses CIRA Canadian Shield DNS for privacy-focused, malware-blocking DNS servers operated locally. Maple Linux is pre-configured with America/Toronto timezone, Canadian keyboard layouts, and default settings that make sense for Canadian users.

Argent Linux is a Gentoo-based Linux distribution featuring the KDE Plasma desktop and designed for workstations and servers. It uses the systemd service manager which, as it is not available in the upstream Gentoo repositories, the project itself provides in the form of binary packages. The distribution favours the epkg package manager, a highly simplistic wrapper over portage, specially designed for precompiled binaries. Argent Linux maintains a semi-rolling release model, with a stable branch and a development (testing) branch.

Essora Eos is a set of desktop Linux distributions based on Devuan, featuring the JWM or Openbox window managers or the KDE Plasma or LXDE desktop environments. It uses the OpenRC init system and the Xlibre display server. The distribution aims to be clean, minimal, fast and customisable, with only the essential tools installed by default. Essora Eos uses the Calamares system installer and provides a custom graphical configuration utility called "Essora Control Centre".

The siduction distribution is a desktop-oriented operating system and live medium based on the "unstable" branch of Debian GNU/Linux. Forked from aptosid in late 2011, siduction offers many separate live media with a range of desktop environments. The project also promises regular releases, an open development model, and friendly relationship with its developer and user community.

OmegaLinux is an Arch-based, rolling-release Linux distribution featuring the lightweight LXDE desktop. It is suitable for installation on older computers with as little as 1 GB of memory. OmegaLinux was originally based on Lubuntu, but it was rebuilt on top of an Arch Linux base in February 2026.

Kiro is a desktop Linux distribution based on Arch Linux. It pairs a curated Arch Linux base with the nemesis_repo (a repository of pre-built packages), the Calamares system installer, and ArchLinux Tweak Tool for post-install configuration. At the live system's login screen, Kiro offers a choice between the Xfce desktop environment and ohmychadwm window manager (Kiro's own tiling window manager, a fork of dwm). Once installed, it provides support for a number of popular desktop environments and window managers, all installable from ArchLinux Tweak Tool. Kiro follows Arch's rolling-release model and targets 64-bit (x86_64) systems.

NebiOS is an Ubuntu-based desktop Linux distribution with a custom Wayland compositor called NebiDE (based on Wayfire). It features various user interface enhancements, an initial setup module called OOBE, the NebiOS App Runtime (napp-runtime) portable application format with bubblewrap containerization, improved gaming performance with Steam Proton integration, a kernel switcher for easy multi-kernel installation, and the Wine compatibility layer for running some Windows applications. NebiOS is intended as a general-purpose operating system for daily computing tasks, including creative work and gaming.

Home Assistant OS (HAOS) is an independently-developed, Linux-based operating system optimised to run Home Assistant, an open-source home automation tool. It focuses on local control and privacy. HAOS uses Docker as its container engine and deploys Home Assistant Supervisor as a container. Home Assistant Supervisor in turn uses the Docker container engine to control Home Assistant Core and Apps in separate containers. The product is available for various single-board computers, like Raspberry Pi or ODROID, but it also supports x86_64 systems with UEFI boot mode.

CatOS is a Chinese Linux distribution based on Arch Linux and featuring a customised KDE Plasma desktop. Its main characteristics include out-of-the-box support for simplified Chinese input method, Calamares system installer, custom software repositories, and support for virtualization. It also provides a choice of Linux kernels, including the long-term supported variant, as well as mainline, Zen and hardened kernels. CatOS intends to be a user-friendly Linux distribution, especially for Chinese-speaking users.

Omarchy is an Arch-based Linux distribution featuring the Hyprland tiling window manager. It ships with what a modern software developer would need to be productive immediately, including Neovim, Spotify, Chromium, Typora, Alacritty, LibreOffice and Zoom. The distribution boots into a text-mode system installer that downloads the latest packages from the Arch Linux repositories during installation to build a complete Hyprland desktop.

BlueOnyx is a server distribution based on AlmaLinux OS. It is the mission of BlueOnyx to provide a fully-integrated Internet hosting platform that includes web, e-mail, DNS and file transfer services from a simple, user-friendly web-based interface that is easily installed on commodity hardware or virtual private server.

The OpenBSD project produces a free, multi-platform BSD 4.4-based UNIX-like operating system. Its efforts emphasize portability, standardisation, correctness, proactive security and integrated cryptography. The project also develops the widely-used and popular OpenSSH (OpenBSD Secure Shell) software, which provides encrypted communication sessions over a computer network using the SSH protocol.

TUXEDO OS is an Ubuntu-based distribution developed in Germany by TUXEDO Computers GmbH, designed and optimised for the company's own range of Linux-friendly personal computers and notebooks. The distribution uses KDE Plasma as the preferred desktop. Some of the differences between Ubuntu and TUXEDO OS include custom boot menu, the TUXEDO Control Centre, Calamares installer, availability of the Lutris open gaming platform, preference for the PipeWire audio daemon (over PulseAudio), removal of Ubuntu's snap daemon and snap packages, and various other tweaks and enhancements.

MocaccinoOS is an independently-developed Linux distribution that has its origins in source-based Gentoo Linux and Sabayon Linux. It uses a custom-built package manager called "Luet", which acts as a front-end for container-based software. The distribution's main features are minimalism and small footprint, ease of use, native vanilla Linux kernels, and support for most important cloud technologies. MocaccinoOS is offered in several variants, including live images with GNOME, KDE Plasma, MATE and Xfce desktops, as well as command-line-only "Minimal Desktop" edition.

Refracta is a Linux distribution based on Devuan GNU+Linux (a systemd-free fork of Debian), designed primarily for home computer users and also for use as a system rescue and recovery disk. It provides a simple and familiar layout using the Xfce desktop. Other desktop environments and additional software packages are available from the Devuan package repository. Besides providing a Linux distribution on a live CD, the project also develops useful tools, such as refractainstaller, refractasnapshot and refracta2usb which allow users to customize the installation and create custom live CD or live USB images.

ArchBang Linux is a lightweight distribution based on Arch Linux. Using the labwc Wayland compositor, it is fast, up-to-date and suitable for both desktop and portable systems. Besides GreenBANG, the project also develops a distribution called SwayBang featuring the Sway Wayland compositor.

Cerberix Linux is a security-focused Linux distribution based on Arch Linux. It boots into a simple text-mode installation program that requires an internet connection. It then installs a firewall, intrusion detection and VPN tooling software, as well as a customised Xfce desktop. The distribution includes various system-hardening software and tools, such as nftables firewall, fail2ban with sane jails, AIDE (Advanced Intrusion Detection Environment) file integrity monitoring, WireGuard tooling, and a curated set of kernel sysctl tweaks. Cerberix Linux also integrates Cerberix Shield that watches the system tray and flags any anomalies, and Cerberix Connect which pairs with the firewall appliance for dashboard visibility.

CobaltX is an Arch-based Linux distribution built specifically for gamers. It features the KDE Plasma desktop and comes pre-installed with the complete Linux gaming stack, i.e. Steam, Heroic Games Launcher, Bottles, Lutris, Wine, RetroArch, MangoHud and GameMode. It is built using the Archiso tool with a custom Calamares system installer. Under the hood, the distribution deploys the Linux Zen kernel for low-latency desktop performance. CobaltX also provides support for NVIDIA GPUs via a single-click installation option in the distribution's Welcome app.
